Sprit of a Tree

I had a Tai-Chi class in this morning. People come to the class are mostly senior. I might be a younger one in the crowd. That's just my hopeful opinion. I am a clumsy senior for learning something new. I still have a problem remembering all the Tai-Chi movement after four months of learning. However, I have been doing this at home with YouTube video, too. Fact is it is much easier learning from video. It's explains each movement carefully and slowly. Only problem I found was, there were some different movement between class and YouTube. I suspect, even though basic movement is a same, there will be some differences among different groups. So, I decided to think that I am learning two type of Tai-Chi exercises. One is video and another one is at the class. Any way, this new hobby of mine would be my life long one.

Hi Emily

Thank you for the nice comment. I like to experiment with colors. It's a lot of fun to create my own colors.

Hi Osamu san,
I have been enjoying all of your beautiful watercolors here. Thank you for sharing them with us. You keep getting better and better!
I took a Tai Chi class many years ago and the teacher helped us remember each move by describing them as an action such as; this one is like holding a big beach ball. The imaginary visual descriptions of each move helped me to remember them from week to week in her class. Maybe you can create your own visual images of each move.
Also I have been having fun with Google Translate too! :)

Hi Enna

The Tai-Chi video at YouTube explains all the movement with imaginary visions. Indeed, that is the best way to remember the movements. Even though I still struggling to remember them. I will do it soon or late, at least before I go.

Hi again Osamu san,
Which Tai-Chi video do you watch on YouTube? There are so many to choose from. Please take your time with the answer, I know you are busy with your exhibit.

Hi Enna

I am doing Tai-Chi with:
Tai Chi Chuan 24 Steps for Beginners
at YouTube.
There are eight of them which explain all the movement of Tai-Chi.
