I had breakfast with Mr. J this morning.

This has been a routine every Sunday morning
for over 20 years.
When I arrived at the store,
he was waiting for me in front of it.
The owner knows us well,
so he let us in before opening.
In the meantime, the owner goes out shopping.
We stayed behind at the store and eye on it.
Mr. J and I chatted without worrying about anyone else.
The store opens at 9 a.m.
By then, the owner has returned from shopping
and the waitress has arrived.

Mr. J bought me breakfast
and wished me a happy birthday.
Thank you for the meal, Mr. J.
