Japanese seniore lunch gathering

Two friends of mine and I went to Japanese restaurant 
in Long Beach and enjoyed the lunch. 
We arrived there and we stayed until 2pm.
The place is closed for lunch time on 2pm and they 
open 5:30pm for dinner. 

I see this sign every morning during my regular walking exercise.  
I don't know why but this sign caught my attention.
I think this is a kind of cute sign I want have one in my house.

Study of a cat

Recently, I painted two watercolors of orange colored cat. 
This is the study sketch of the cat from my  sketchbook.

The first one

In the morning I painted small size watercolor. This is the one of painting I will take to Japanese exhibition. I am going to paint six more  watercolor paintings for this size. 

The image above is not one I painted. This is a sketch I might paint next. 

In the Old Sketch book

In an old sketch book I found calligraphy I wrote long time ago. I studied it for couple of years because at that time I was sign painter for living. I was practicing calligraphy using sketch book. The old sketch book brought me a lot of memory.

Lookin for a art and craftsman's shop

I needed new watercolor paper which I never tried before. So, I went to the store which one of my students told me. I got the paper. I am going to study the paper today. I can hardly wait to see the result of an effect from the paper. 

I do exercise of reading English and Japanese aloud for every morning. I have just finished a book "Memoirs of a Geisha"this morning. I will read "The Last Precinct" for next.

I visited my friend's house this mornig. I haven't seen him for last three weeks. because I had been busy for the watercolor painting exhibition last couple week. Now it over so, I decided to see him. 

A watercolor painting class.

It was the day I teach watercolor class. The first, I did demonstration of this month subject. Near the end of class we talked about color mixing.  

Busy friday

I cut my hair with an electric hair trimmer. I made it very short and I don't have hair top of my head so, it looks like an almost skinhead. I like this way easy to wash hair or head. 

Two of my friends and I enjoyed breakfast on last Sunday. But I was 10 minutes late to get the restaurant because I totally forgot about daylight saving time. summer time. The good thing was one of the friend called me earlier to warning me about time change,  So, I missed only 10 minutes to get there.
