This afternoon was ukulele class.
I usually go just before it starts,
but rushing as an elderly person could lead to injury.
I decided to go and give myself plenty of time.

After arriving at the class, I tuned my ukulele.
I took my time getting ready.
Thanks to this, I didn't rush and safe.
I was able to enjoy playing the ukulele
and singing without any problems.

However, I had a quick lunch and just had a snack,
so I was starving when I got back to my apartment.
I had a meal that was like a late lunch
or an early dinner, regardless of the time.
Since I'm not working any more,
the idea was to just eat when I was hungry.
manpuku manpuku.

 In the afternoon,

I did some laundry that had piled up.
I feel like I've accomplished a big job.
I’m not kidding.
As you get older,
things that were easy when you were younger
become big jobs.

I don't use a dryer after the washing machine.
I dry the laundry in my room.
To save money.
Also, the air in the apartment is dry,
so drying the laundry is adding moisture to the air.

7/8/2025/Tue

I bought a bento lunch from the senior apartment.

This is the first time I've used this service this month.

I usually eat in my room, but today I had a leisurely meal in the dining room downstairs.

It's nice to eat while looking out the big window.

My room is on the second floor, and the only view I can see from the window is the roof of the dining room downstairs.

Sometimes a change of environment can make my food taste better.

As I was returning to my room, I looked at the bulletin board in the hallway and saw a poster for the "Japanese Singers member old Song Festival."

I stopped in my tracks because there was a singer's name that I have a lot of nostalgia for.

I was surprised that these people are still singing.

I'm sure there are many Japanese people in this apartment who miss the songs from those days.

I miss them, but I don't feel like seeing them at the theater.

The day to pay rent has arrived.
I gathered up the cash and run to the bank.
I have to put money into the checking account.
I'm running on a tight schedule,
so every minute counts.
I somehow get everything ready
and head back to my apartment.
I write the check and deliver it to the office.
I managed to make it on time this month as well.
Living in a senior apartment is full of thrills.
God above gives me these challenges
to keep me from going senile.
Thank you God. I'm safe this month.

I had breakfast with Mr. J this morning.

This has been a routine every Sunday morning
for over 20 years.
When I arrived at the store,
he was waiting for me in front of it.
The owner knows us well,
so he let us in before opening.
In the meantime, the owner goes out shopping.
We stayed behind at the store and eye on it.
Mr. J and I chatted without worrying about anyone else.
The store opens at 9 a.m.
By then, the owner has returned from shopping
and the waitress has arrived.

Mr. J bought me breakfast
and wished me a happy birthday.
Thank you for the meal, Mr. J.

I spent one year in my new apartment.

Christmas is over, and the usual quiet days has returned. But fact is my Christmas was also quiet. I didn't feel like doing anything, so I watched YouTube. There was a video about replacing the Nara Tenpyo Festival with K-POP. Is it some festival that cost over 200 million yen??? What is this all about? Is Japan in danger? I've heard rumors that Japan is being targeted by various countries. These rumors are just as terrifying as Japan Sinking. No, no, I guess my YouTube addiction has gotten worse. I've been having a lot of hallucinations lately. I'm going to go to bed early tonight and get over this addiction.
