I had two new students in my watercolor class last month.

A friend of mine and I went to retirement home Christmas dinner. Why? He is thinking about get in this place when he get an old enough. It was a nice dinner and enough for senior people like us. Also we had live music. There were a lot of Christmas songs. 

I have been in Japan for two weeks of early part of November. During that time, my artist friend and I had a two men art exhibition. Today's  image above is one of my painting I exhibited at the show.

One of my teeth is middle of root canal job.
It isn't hurt me much but it hurt my wallet.

I sold two of my old acoustic guitars and bought a new classical guitar. I am tired of steel strings. It' s too tough to my fingers. I like to have nylon strings guitar such as classical guitar.

Breakfast Sunday

It was a breakfast in Little Tokyo day. J and I enjoyed breakfast there as usual. I had a toothache this morning so, I didn't eat much. I brought half of breakfast home. I am going to see my DDS this coming Thursday. I still have to wait four more days to fix my teeth.

I went out for a lunch with my friend. It was the French restaurant. I had avocado and mushroom omelette. It was great and sound healthy, too. I usually don't like to eat omelette here in US., because it too dry but this one was very good. It wasn't overly cooked so it  was nice and tender which I like. It was the great lunch.  I enjoyed it immensely.

I had watercolor class this afternoon. 

It was hot outside but in the class room was cold.

The air condition was working too hard.

I found a notice of missed call on my smartphone. It's strange, because I carry it with me all the time no way I missed call. Only one possibility would be this, call tone volume had setting as vibration. I check a volume of call tone and found It was setting as vibrate.  I didn't set it that way. Then, I found out what happened. My smartphone has volume button on the side body of phone. Every time I hold the phone I touch the button unconsciously and lower volume until it become vibration set up.  

My pick up has new tires now. I have been driving my truck almost a year since I noticed tires were not look good. My mechanic said "They are way over the limit."　So, I decided to get new one. I felt good driving my pick up on the way to my home. It was very smooth drive.

Bum

I have a dream. some day I become a bum. And I paint watercolor on the street. One day this powerful Beverly hills art dealer find me and rest is the story.

I had a watercolor class this afternoon. 
It was demonstration day. 
I painted seascape.

 

I saw this coffee stain on sidewalk. 

It looks like fighting karate men.  

I saw a young couple was playing pokemon GO 
in the park I go every morning for walk.
I was hoping that they don't fall into a pond.

Dinner

A friend and I went out for dinner late at night. It was 11 pm. I usually go to bed at 9 pm. So, you know how late it was for me. Because of the late dinner, I wasn't hungry I skipped my breakfast this morning.

Watercolor Class

I had watercolor class this afternoon. 
When I came to the class room, it was totally empty. 
In the room there is nobody and no tables. 
A man was working there. He was waxing room floor. 
Well, where can we have watercolor class. 
I went down to the office and complain.  
Then we got a temporary room right next of our original one. 
It was larger than our room and more tables. 
So, I should say it was lucky accident.
 

Do you want it?

I want to sell my Gibson electric guitar. 
So, I put an ad in the net community site. 
I received a telephone call an hour late.
Wow, such a quick response.

I have just came home from Japan town in downtown Los Angejes. J and I enjoyed breakfast. 
I stayed friend's house last night and  went to Japan town straight from his house. 
So, I should say hello to my house. "Hello, nice to see you again.

I finished demo painting I did yesterday's class.

Morning Walk

I left house at five thirty in the morning. 
Before sun come out and heat up the air. 

I came back from the morning walk.
I did stretch exercise and Tai-Chi, too.
I feel good, my day start now.
 

We are having hot weekend. 
This is last day of the week, 
I hope it get cooler next week.

Audition

I had a commercial audition this morning. Now a days, old senior talent like myself  don't get enough audition. So, this is a big deal to me. 

SBWS watercolor exhibition is over. It was nice show. The painting I exhibited to the show is on wall of my studio.

 After lunch with my friends I came home and finished the last class’s demo painting. I have to go to shopping at Marukai today. My fridge is almost empty.

I went to shopping and bought enough food for next three weeks. I feel good now just thinking about all kind of food in my fridge.

I had a lunch. It was an assortment of tempura and bowl of rice. It was delicious.

I finished painting of aborigine man and boy. I did good job for this one.  I think. Even though boy look like afraid of something.

My watercolor students painted human figures at the class.

A lady visited my studio. I haven't have visitor for long time. We had nice chat.

J and I enjoyed a breakfast in J-town. We do this every Sunday for last 15 years.

I made greeting cards for my friend. Twelve of them.

Three Japanese friends and I went to lunch. It was a buffet style Japanese restaurant. When I was young I was crazy about the place like this. But I lost interest all you can eat idea.

Rain, rain and rain. It started this afternoon.
 It's dark outside now and rain still falling down. 
Well we needed it. So, we should happy about it. 

I got a new cell-phone. 
The old one had problem recharging battery. So, I gave it up.

My cell-phone has problem. It can't recharge the battery. I took it to the store I bought. I was told cell-phone is broken and can't fix it. It mean I have to by new telephone. 

I made a beansprout sandwich. It was the first attempt. I never eaten it before. It was a totally new experience. I made it just because I had leftover beansprout and bread.  It was taste delicious.

I taught a watercolor class this afternoon. I had ten students. Not  bad.  It was demonstration day. I enjoyed it very much. I paint better when I have an audience. It's like a performing art. I felt like I was performing on a stage.  

Finally, He did it. He dropped  his cell-phone into toilet bowl. He bought new one already. I asked if he got smart-phone. But he said he got same type of cell-phone as before. Too bad, if he asked my opinion I would say get smart-phone. I believe smart-phone has much better connection.

I saw a cute kitten in the park where I do tai-chi exercise.

I don't think I am a real coffee drinker but I become one only in winter time. I usually drink green tea but It not give me an enough heat. So, I like to have coffee instead. Somehow it gives me enough heat from inside my body so, I can live through the cold winter season. does it make a sense?

I went to CPA office to file my tax report.

J and I get together and enjoy breakfast. that was my idea. However when I got the restaurant in J-town he wasn't there. I couldn't see his car either. What more, I forgot my cell-phone. I couldn't contact him. It was rain this morning.  There was no public telephone so, I came back home and called him. He said that " I called you twice and left message, I caught cold so I decided not to come.
All this thing happened just because I forgot my Cell-phone.

N and I sit an outside table. N had a little dog with him so that was good idea. We found this cafe on Larchmont st. last Friday. We both liked the place and their food so we were back again. We liked it so much even we ordered exactly same menu. This place going to be our favorite place.

It was the last class of this month. 
I arrived at the class on time and three students showed up same time. 
We had two and half more students came thirty minutes later.
The last class of the month usually less attendance but it was not bad today's class.
I did a demonstration. It was painting without pencil sketch.

Today's lesson is "Don't give up things easily" 
I have tendency of that. 
I have to be careful not to do.

I enjoyed a breakfast at the cafe in J-Town.
 I had a Japanese and American mixed style breakfast.

It was Sunday morning breakfast meeting.

J and I get together at J-Town and enjoy breakfast and conversation.

We have been doing this for decades.

And we get old together.

We had more member for this but now only J and I.

This is Saturday. It was cloudy all day long. But yesterday's weather report was It's going to be rain today. So, I should be happy because we didn't have rain today.

I finished painting watercolor I started yesterday. I liked the painting. I did good job.

N and I went to a restaurant on Larchmont street to have a breakfast. This is the first time came to this restaurant and I forgot to check the name of the place. I wasn’t really hungry so I looking for something light. They were names of ordinary breakfast menu. An  American breakfast is so big Just look at it I lose my appetite. So, I was looking for something light. I found a waffle with fruit topping. That’s sound light enough. I was right. It was just  about right amount of meal and it was good. I enjoyed it.

I am going to N's house this afternoon. Reason? I don't know he wants me to come. May be he is planning surprise party or something.

I stayed at friend's house last night and came home early this morning. Oh, I almost forgot, on the way home I had a breakfast with my other friend at the restaurant in J-town. 

A watercolor painting I started yesterday,
I add little more brushes and down.

Today is he first watercolor class this year. And the first watercolor demonstration, too. Anyway, this year start from here. I have to do my best today. 

I needed cash money. So, I went to my bank. I tried draw some money but I couldn't do it. Computer didn't prove my pin number. That's funny. I was sure I did punch in right number. I tried 5 or 6 times and gave up. It was mystery. what was happening. Well, I still need cash, I have to go to bank and try it again. 

I had toasts with peanut butter and jam on it this morning. It was something new for me. I usually eat an oatmeal in the morning. It was good.

I call my oatmeal Japanese style oatmeal. It's special way to make. 

A friend and I went to Japanese food market after the breakfast. He wanted to get Japanese udon noodles. So, recommended instant udon which has fresh noodles instead of dried one. I think some how it better than dried noodles.

He called me late and ask me how to cook the noodles. A cooking instruction is only Japanese. I thought imported product always English one too, but I was wrong. I explained how to make it. I am glade that I bought same noodles for my self so I now how to cook. Otherwise I can't explain to him on the phone. I think he got it because he didn't call me back. At least not yet.
