Koi
I took my friend to Marukai main store in Torrance. This store sells not only Japanese foods but all different kind of Japanese goods. It was a fun just looking around inside of the store.
Whenever I go to this store alone, I just get whatever I need to get and go home. But this time, I spent time looking around entire store included upstairs with him. Actually, It was the first time I went to the upstairs, I didn't even know that they have an upstairs.

Take a Little Rest
I went to Marukai store. It is the largest store in this area which sells Japanese foods and other daily Japanese goods. I had a lunch the store food court but it was a little disappointment. I ordered Oyako-bowl because it looked so good on a photograph menu on the wall. However, I got the Oyako-bowl I never experienced before, it was over cooked. therefor topping eggs were so dry. I saw four Cooks in the open kitchen. They are all Latino. It is common scene in the Japanese restaurant now a days, so, I didn't worry about it. But this time I was wrong, If I go back there again, I will order something safe. Oyako-bowl is a little bit tricky to cook.

A Scent of Autumn
I enjoyed a carnival at Japanese temple in Gardena. I have been living in the area for quite some time but I have never been to this temple before. I found the temple easy, however, it was hard to fined a parking space. Since they used their parking lot as part of carnival, visitors had to park on the street. Finally, I parked my car on the street two blocks away. It was a small carnival but no trouble finding food booths as usual. Actually I was looking for ward to enjoy eating any way. On that Saturday, I had nothing to do all day. So, It was a perfect little event for me to spend time.
