I was off from the teaching duty at watercolor class today. But I went there anyway. Because I received a telephone call from a man want to visit our class. So, I thought I should be there.

A Single Rose

I tried to order picture frames through internet for the fast time. However, even though all I need is frame material, it seems to me it comes with mat and glass.  I always buy them separately. So, I gave up using internet. I ordered by fax as before. A couple days later, I checked their home page again. Because I believed there must be a way that I can order only the frame material. This time I found a telephone number to ask a question. I called them and finally I found how to make an order. Unfortunately it was too late for this time. What's more. if I ordered by internet I could have saved $22,00. Damn!!!

One of my breakfast meeting friends John has been enjoying Griffith park hiking group. He told me the stories of hiking he enjoyed. I like hiking myself. I was born and raised in a mountain, the hiking is in my blood.

I went to see dermatology doctor. I found a dark spot on my nose which I didn't have it before. Just for the safety of avoiding skin cancer.

I received a check from Yosemite Park. What is this for? I couldn't figure it out. It wasn't big amount but it was big enough to make me happy.

 Since my art and craft show time is over I don’t have to buy art materials often as use to. However, some of the things were almost out. So, I had to go to art supply store today. Just my curiosity, I checked that when I went there for the last time. And I was surprised to know It was more than three years ago. I worried that if I still have the account with them. Fortunately, I still had it.

Pink Snow Series 1

Long long time ago, I painted series of pink snow scenes. It was an imaginary snow scene. However, these images were from my child hood memory in Hokkaido, Japan. I sold most of them, This is the only one left.

I went to see the NWS exhibition this afternoon. It was the such educational experience. Fact is, I learned watercolor by observing original paintings of other artist. I am vary good at it. I got so much stimulation from the art works there, more than you can imagine.  I have to start painting something tomorrow.

A Paire of Parrots

I painted this watercolor around 1985. At the time I was studying a sumie (Japanese ink Painting). I used the Japanese ink and watercolor. I had thought this is my style of art work at the time but I had changed my mind quickly. Instead, I found that I am kind of artist one have to experiment all the time. Therefore I couldn't stay same style forever.

Our watercolor class is students friendly. It means, student pay for a class fee only the time he or she attended. Therefore, students are feel free to take off anytime they want. It is tough on me but if I am a student I would like this system very much.

Waiting for a Grandson

I finished shopping this morning. Every time I go to a Japanese food market I get a pack of assorted sashimi. I love sashimi. Surely, I got one this morenig, too.

Suddenly, I wanted eat an onigiri. It's a Japanese rice ball. I love the onigiri with pickled plum in it. Also, When I eat it I want have ramen noodles, too. There are good. I never met a Japanese who doesn't like these food. It means there are such a popular food in Japan. If you don't like it, your not Japanese. LOL
