I have been watching a lot of movies this month (December).

I saw it.

I saw 3 police men and one big black man fighting in a parking lot.  I was on my way back from a shopping. I wanted take a video or something, But I didn't have a courage to do it.

Big Hero 6

I enjoyed a movie this afternoon. It was a Disney animation movie "Big Hero 6"

Rain

A noisy sound of rain work me up early in the morning. Oh, good! It means I don't have to take a morning walk. I can stay in bed longer.

Watercolor Class

I had 10 students at the watercolor class this afternoon. In this busy holiday season this number was very good.I have one more class this year.

My cellphone is prepaid service therefore I don't have an e-mail service. I have been looking for way to move photos from cellphone to desktop.

I was invited to garden club luncheon meeting. I am not member but N invited some of his friends.
Actually, all guests at our table were nonmember but N's guests.

N and I went to a restaurant in Hollywood. It was a Chinese all you can eat place. When I was young I love this kind of restaurant. But I don't eat much now So I lost interest this kind of place.

Morning in the Park

The park in misty morning was very mysterious. I come here almost every morning. This is a part of my morning walk. I do Tai-Chi there.

To Mexico

I went to a Mexican market close by. I usually go to Japanese market for a shopping but a toilet tissue was out, I needed one quickly.

 

I went to a movie  screening at the Egyptian theater in Hollywood. I received an invitation because I am in it for a couple of seconds LOL.

I haven't doing morning walk and Tai-Chi during the trip in Japan. Therefor, It took time to return normal morning life. I am taking short walking course right now.

I am back

I came back from Japan. It was a wonderful trip for three weeks. During that time,  My artist friend and I had Two men art exhibition. It was my watercolor paintings and his etching prints, Oils and Color pencil works. We had a quite successful show. The gallery owner invited us for next year. It was my 4th exhibition in Japan. Now I have to prepare for 5th show next year.

Spring

I delivered an application form to Little Tokyo Towers in Los Angeles downtown. I am not looking for a job but this is something else. Yes, it's my secret mission. LOL

Yosemite Falls

I have so many things I like to write. But I don't know which one is the first.

Yosemite Valley South Entrance

I had hard time to get the restaurant where J and I suppose to have a breakfast this morning. A lot of streets had closed in Los Angeles downtown area. I drove around and around streets still open. And finally I got the restaurant. I asked J what going on around here. It was bicycle people gathering. I have no problem they enjoy their hobby but not middle of downtown closing all the street. They do this once in awhile. and I get upset because when I was kid I couldn't get bicycle. My parents couldn't afford to buy it for me. LOL

A heat wave started again. It's stay hear until this coming Sunday. Meanwhile, I am busy preparing for trip to Japan.

A new owner renovated a house I rent。And of course rent went up 22%.

An Afternoon Sun in the Valley

My neighbor gave me a dragon fruit which they grew in their back yard. The fruit is almost tasteless itself. But I was told If I put this into a citrus fruit salad I would enjoy  it. So, I started making a citrus fruit salad. Unfortunately, I cut my thumb instead of orange. Ouch!!!

Yosemite Scene

Finally, A renovation of my kitchen completed. I started take kitchen things back to where they belong. I will get rid of some of the stuff. I think I have more stuff to through away than the things I will keep. I will make my life simple from now on.

A Quiet Moment

 Nobody working in my house today. It’s nice and quiet. After stressful days, this is like a heaven.

 While I was preoccupied with noisy construction people, time went by and I don’t have that much time left for preparation of Japan trip and art exhibition. I have to concentrate to Japan trip 100% from now on.

 I went to ramen shop last night. It was my favorite shop. I wanted eat a good ramen but I change the plane when I saw a guy eating umani-fried noodles. I ordered the same. It’s was also my favorite.

The eleventh day since they started a remodering of kitchen

 I worked hard last night. The new owner of the house going to renew kitchen floor linoleum. so, I had to remove everything from the kitchen and a small room adjoining it. I use this room as storage of my art materials such as picture frames, full size watercolor paper, matt board so on. Anyway, I spent more than three hours to remove all of them to the space I could find in the little house. It’s was big job for a seventy one years old man. Tell you the truth, I couldn’t get up from the bed this morning. I must have down something bad in previous life.

 Since new owner started on remodeling of a kitchen, inside of the house is total mess. So, I go out to eat more often. I can’t afford doing this all the time, but it’s better than stressed out.

 N and I went to French Market restaurant on Santa Monica blvd in Hollywood. We came here couple of month ago and I didn’t have a good memory about the place. But this time I enjoyed a lot. I guess I made a wrong choice of menu last time. I order a french dip sandwich. It’s came with french onion soup I like. It was good. I like to come back again.

What is a New Landlord's intention

 A remodeling of the kitchen still going on. I have no idea when it end. I tried to concentrate to paint watercolor under an uncomfortable condition. I have to paint about 25 paintings for an exhibition in Japan this fall.

 There are so many things happening in me life now. But at least I have a lot of subjects write in my blog, I should be happy about it. After all people like to read a dramatic story not a boring happy story.

 I painted some watercolors this morning and I watched the movie “Memoirs of a Geisha” in the afternoon. If I concentrate hard enough I could avoid a hearing of the construction noise from the kitchen. Hopefully, when movie end all the construction noise is end, too.

I live in one of the rented house in a block. I live here over 22 yeas. Recently an owner of the property changed.  Then this thing started.

I found this tree inside of Huntington library garden. With the white bench under the tree makes nice hiding place.

J and I went a breakfast in J-town. His birthday is two weeks from now and I am not be in town. I am going to be in Yosemite National Park teaching watercolor. So I bought a breakfast for him. It was a birthday gift from me.

This is the end of the month. I can't believe it. I have to finished a news letter and send them out today.

A secret of a successful Watercolor is paint less. OK, I tried it. Well I have to admit but it looks good.

I have a watercolor class every Wednesday. I had only two students showed up last week. Only two, can you believe it? I thought I have to close my watercolor class. However, I had eight students this week. The watercolor class came back to life again. A smallest student attendance record was three until last week. Therefor, two will be new smallest attendance record.

I can't believe it, Someone out on the street playing with fireworks in the midnight. I am not talking about a little firecrackers but real fireworks shoot in the sky. Are they crazy. Yes they are.

I missed the delivery I expected yesterday.  I had a watercolor class to teach. so, When I came home I found a memo on the mail box. damn!!!

 

 I got an audition this morning. I haven't been auditioning since I signed a new contract with my agency.

Yesterday, Independent day BBQ and today is my birthday. J, N and I went to a nice restaurant in Glendale. I had too much wine yesterday, so I had glass of seven-up. I have to watch my cholesterol.

Congratulation! a new McDonald's opened just a block away from my house. Bad news is I seldom go to McDonald's.

 

 I took two paintings to SBWS art exhibition. This is my first time to enter the show.

I am going to enter two exhibitions this month. I painted two paintings for each exhibition.

J and I enjoyed a breakfast at a Japanese restaurant in Japan town.
