Hey, this is no laughing matter.  The telephone call that I received from LA county jail was turned out to be a serious scam. I wrote about it in my Japanese blog and one of the readers told me about it. Even she gave me a web site to check. It was a scam warning site. I was shocked to see a same story I had experienced in the web page. 

I called telephone company and asked about this scam. After I told my story, a lady on the line said "You didn't accept collect call so you don't have to worry about it, but just in case, I block your long distance collect call service." I was glad I made the call. What's a relief!
