I did framing for my two new watercolor paintings. SGFAA show will be this coming weekend. I will take these paintings to the show. However this year SGFAA has new regulation that we have to use plastic for a picture frames instead of glass. That gave me an extra job to do. Frankly, I don't like the plastic because it expensive and it gets scratched easily. Oh well, I have no choice but do it as they asked.

All right!  I had the more student today's watercolor class. This month is the great month for the class. The more student gave me more energy. I was teaching the class energetically.

Hokkaido

The washing machine in our community laundry room had broken last weekend. I had some laundry to do. I had almost out of under ware.  However, I had to wait until the washing machine repair. Fortunately, a repair man came on Monday and fixed it.

Emergency! emergency! I couldn't find my reading glasses. Since I came home I wasn't using it yet. I remember last time I used it, it was my friend's house. Did I left it there? I don't think so. I had been looking all over in my house.  I might put it on somewhere I never put it there before carelessly. However, I couldn't see it anywhere. I tried to be not panic. But I panicked. Without it I couldn't write or read. Finally, I called my friend and his answer was no. I have to get a new pair immediately. May be tomorrow. Than I saw it on a top of the bookcase. Why it was there. Any way I got it. I was happy. I'd better organize the small thing more carefully.

I have been a little under the weather for last couple of days. However, I have an important appointment tomorrow. I have to be well enough to drive. I bought a cold medicine yesterday but after I read side effect of the medicine I was afraid to take it.  Instead I decided to do garlic treatment. Do you want to know what kind of treatment?  I am afraid you don't even want to know it.

El Capitan in Fog

I was alarmed by escalating gasoline prices when I stopped by gas station this morning. It was just too much for senior citizens who living on a little bit of social security benefits. Last Sunday at the breakfast gathering, John said that he took a train to come to the restaurant. I should do that myself. after all I can take advantage of senior price for trains and bases. The fee for the public transportation are quite reasonable. I even can get monthly pass for senior. It's worth checking up about them.

I started a brown rice diet. I tried it once before, however I failed it. So, this is a second time challenge. I talked my doctor about my high cholesterol problem and he gave me some good foods list of lower the cholesterol. And one of them is brown rice. I am willing to learn how to enjoy brown rice. I will try anything that good for my health. I am a health conscious senior.

Cloudy Sky

I had a breakfast gathering this morning. However it was hard to get the restaurant where we suppose to meet.  Because after I got off the free way I couldn't reach to Little Tokyo. A lot of street was closed. I tried all the street and all the direction. Finally, I came to front of the restaurant and found all the street was temporary no parking on Sunday. I had to park my car four blocks away and walked to the restaurant. When I got there, I saw John was having coffee at the table we always sit. "What is going on today?" I asked him. He knows answer usually. Sure enough, he said that there is a gathering of bicycle people, they will ride bicycle on the downtown street this morning. But why they have to close the street. that was my next question but it was not john's decision. So, I swallowed my question. I guess answer is because they can do it.

Cleaning Man

I found a Japanese kimono at Marukai store in Torrance. It was a kind of kimono I can ware inside of the house in winter time. It called Tanzen. Also, I can use this as costume for samurai or cho-nin (a business man) audition.

I painted a still-life. The subject was from one of the photographs I took inside of my friend's house. I thought I did a good job. so, I showed it to my friend on skype.

Canna

Finally, our watercolor class made the best attendant record. Believe it or not. only one student was absent the class. Our next goal would be that all the students attend the class.

Hide and seek

My printer suddenly stopped in middle of printing. Blue ink was out. One thing I don't like about my new printer is this. It stops just because one color is out. If it happened with my old printer, I can keep printing without blue ink. I just change blue letter to black, that all. It's so obvious that business people try to make easy money this way. Unfortunately, I have no choice but get a new ink.

A new painting which I have started yesterday was almost done. I still have to add some more details, but I can finish it tomorrow easily.

Friend of mine Noel came to visit me.  We went to the our favorite Giuliano's delicatessen and enjoyed torpedo sandwich.  Their sandwich is the best.
