I delivered a painting to SGFAA gallery. A juried show will be this weekend. I almost for got about it. Fortunately, a president of SGFAA sent me a mail.  However, I don't have time to paint new one for this show. So, I had to take one of the paintings I have down sometime ago.

I got a ticket to Japan. Well, I should say we got tickets to Japan. One of my friends and I are going to Japan in end of October this year. It's going to be mostly sightseeing but I have a little bit of business, too. I am going to do an art exhibition there with my Japanese artist friend.  This is the second exhibition we do together. I have to paint new paintings within a month. I am going to be very busy for a while.

I had a watercolor class to teach this afternoon. I felt very good today. Every time I see students doing go job makes me feel good.

Half Dome

I painted this "Half Dome in Yosemite Park" as a watercolor class demonstration piece. It was the third day. We went to a meadow near by art center where we can see the half dome. I usually do a demonstration with in 30 minutes or so. This one was no exception. I liked this work and it sold right after I finished that afternoon.

I had a little celebration party last night, because my watercolor class was a great success. I decided give myself an award.  I had two cans of beer and snacks and I felt good and happy. However, I couldn't sleep all night last night. So, I had to drive home with a sleepy head. By the time passing Fresno. I was so sleepy I had to got off the free way and I took short nap. Fortunately, I was feel good after that.

   Finally, a one week watercolor class was over. It was my last class this afternoon. I had a great class this year. A lot of students came to the class and gave me a positive energy.  Somehow, this year's watercolor class was different from previous years. The students were more eager to learn. More than seventy percent of the students were well prepared. Therefore, it was relatively easy to teach. In other words, the quality of student were high. It was the best class I ever had in Yosemite. I am looking forward to come back Yosemite already.

  Water color class has been doing very well. A lot of students have been attending the class. What is more, quality of the students are high. They are willing to learn. I felt it and I am enjoying to teach every day.

   I used up the Rice I brought from LA. I thought I got it more than I need. But it was clearly my miscalculation. So, I have to go out eat from tomorrow morning. However, it is kind of nice to go out. 

Yosemite Valley

   I didn't have a time for morning walk. Because, I started a big cooking this morning. I cooked curry and rice. I brought packs of instant curry, but I wanted make a fresh one. To tell you the truth, I bought a lot of vegetables and I didn't want waste them.

   I had good watercolor classes so far. A lot of students showed up each class. There are all had some experiences of watercolor painting before, so it was easy to teach.  I enjoyed every minutes of them.

   The second day, a location of watercolor class was practically right front of Art center. I was looking for place like that because I received a mail from a disable parson who like to attend my class. I was very happy that I could find the ideal place and the parson showed up.

   I had eighteen students in my class today. Considering a fact that a lot of people left Yosemite after Labor day, it was a great number of students I had.

A watercolor class has started. I checked a location of the cLass yesterday. It was a place by a river with a nice view of Half Dome. However, not much water this year. It looks like a shallow water pond. Wild ducks roaming around nearby. 

I was using a hot press paper. I don't like this paper but I have a lot of stocks. I don't like to waste them. I had eight students at my first class. It was a good number. Easy to teach.

I was tired when I came back to my room. I took nap, read, ate supper and read more, that all I did after that. I didn't feel like going out as used.

 9/3/12/Mon.

.  The first day of Yosemite, I woke up by snarl of wild bear. Some of Japanese people in Japan had warned me that there is a dangerous epidemic is going on in Yosemite it spread by mouse. However, To be honest, a bear scares me more than a mouse. I never heard the news in here how come people in Japan know about it.

  I finished a morning exercise and Tai-Chi and went out to breakfast. I had a big meal at Curry Village. I stuffed myself. I worried that if a bear found me on the way bak to my room. A Bear would be happy to see a well stuffed Japanese for it's breakfast. 

The first day in Yosemite was off. I spent my time for looking new spot for my watercolor class and take a lot of pictures.  A lot of foods and a lot of walk tired me out. I usually have an good energy to walk around. I guess I am not young as use to be.

I arrived Yosemite a little after twelve on Sunday afternoon. Great news, I can use wi_Fi Internet this year. So, I am writing a blog from Yosemite.
